Nastar 2022-2023
NASTAR offers a fun, no-pressure way to add an element of racing to your ski game! Compare your score to friends and people from all over the country using NASTAR’s handicap system of scoring. Medals awarded day of race in several age categories. Register at NASTAR.com for the season, then get signed up on race days at Mt. La Crosse before noon to get on the run list.
Race time: 1:00 pm (sign up ends at noon!)
Entry fee per race (2 runs): 21 and older: $10 under 21: $7
a valid lift ticket is required to race NASTAR – costs will vary

Youth Racing Programs at Mt. La Crosse
HANS’ KIDS
Level: Beginner, Ages 5+
Learn the basics of racing and ski techniques that will provide a good base for future racing.
Skills Required: stopping, turning, ability to ride the chairlift unassisted.
Dates:
Time: 10 am-Noon
Cost: $187
*Season Pass or valid daily lift ticket required to participate.
BAMBOO BASHERS
Level: Intermediate, Ages 7+
Graduates of Hans’ Kids, or skiers with some race experience will learn more about ski technique and racing in gates.
**Some NASTAR races included during class-time.
Skills Required: stopping, turning, ability to ride the chairlift unassisted.
Dates: Saturdays, January – February
Time: 1 pm – 3 pm
Cost: $227

Coulee Alpine Racing (formerly Mt La Crosse Ski Team)
Developmental Team-Training-Traveling-USSA F.I.S.
Coulee Alpine Racing (CAR) is a parent-run organization that offers several programs for intermediate through expert-level youth ski racers.
All CAR program fees are payable directly to the CAR. A current, valid season pass at Mt. La Crosse is required for participation (Payable to Mt. La Crosse).

HIGH SCHOOL RACING
SKI AND SNOWBOARD
Students in grades 9-12 can race for their high school. Participating area high schools compete against one another at weekly conference races at Mt. La Crosse and in one or two invitational races at other host sites. Participants must have a current Mt. La Crosse season pass and must be comfortable navigating intermediate slopes.
